Sabina Sattar

Sabina has been a Production Designer for over 15 years, workingfor all the major UK Broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Recently she completed the HG Wells classic sci-fi drama FIRST MEN IN THE MOON for the BBC as Production Designer and Associate Producer. She produced her first feature SUMMER SCARS for established independent British director, Julian Richards. It has been played in over 35 international film festivals, had a theatrical release at London’s ICA Cinema and was nominated for Best Film at the 2008 BAFTA Cymru Awards. It also has US/UK DVD distribution and has sold in other major territories.

Sabina was recently selected as a participant in a UK Film Council backed scheme for emerging women producers called Athena Producers. Her feature comedy, POOR CHOICES was one of the projects pitched at the 2010 Berlin Film Festival under this scheme. The project is slated for UK/Canada co-production for 2012/13. Her first feature comedy script BONUS HIT got her awarded a prestigious Los Angeles screenwriting fellowship, The Writers Arc Foundation and a mention in Variety. Her second feature comedy script won the Silver Prize at the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards. She is currently working in production and developing her scripts as well as being Production Manager for Alison Jackson.
